COVID-19: Ten young people per day were vaccinated in part French

0

Vaccination against Covid-19 has been open to young people aged 12 to 18 since June 15 in France, including overseas. In Saint-Martin, a dozen have presented themselves every day since last Tuesday at the vaccinodrome. This represents a little more than 10% of the public received.

As a reminder, the vaccine used is Pfizer, the only one with marketing authorization. Authorization from both parents is required. In the event of the absence of one of the two parents, the parent present fills out the certificate and undertakes on the honor to have previously obtained the consent of the absent parent and co-holder of parental authority.

Likewise, a parental certificate must be collected and then kept systematically. It is available on the website of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health.

Finally, in accordance with the recommendations of the National Consultative Ethics Committee of June 8, 2021, minors aged 12 and over receive, during the preparatory interview for vaccination, clear information adapted to their age on Covid-19 and on vaccines. This collection of consent does not require a form or a written commitment: it must be taken orally by the healthcare professional during the preparatory interview for the vaccination.
