Guadeloupe totals 45 confirmed cases of Covid-19 to date, 12 cases more than yesterday. The epidemic threshold of 40 cases is therefore crossed. Containment efforts are more important than ever.
To date, eight patients are hospitalized at the CHU: five in the infectious and tropical diseases department of the CHU and three patients in intensive care.
The investigation conducted by ARS and Santé publique France is continuing to identify the careers of confirmed Covid-19 people. Contact persons are called on the phone by the dedicated ARS team to inform them, tell them what to do (keeping in isolation + monitoring their state of health), and tell them how to take charge in case of onset of symptoms.
The ARS of Guadeloupe, is implementing in partnership with the Health Insurance and the French Red Cross a platform of Response, Information to the population, Orientation, Monitoring and Telemedicine to support the identification process and for symptomatic Covid-19 referrals. This operational platform from Friday will avoid saturation center 15 and respond to preserve its regulatory function for life-threatening situations. This device is installed in close collaboration with self-employed doctors and hospitals. It will be operational this Friday.
The strategy for screening and caring for patients in Guadeloupe has been produced and is being finalized in its implementation in consultation with health stakeholders.
