Covid-19: 16 new cases and 22 cured in part Dutch

Via a press release published Thursday evening, the Minister of Health of Sint Maarten is "delighted" to announce that the number of active cases of covid-19 drops from 80 to 74 in the Dutch part.

He had asked that the 80 people who tested positive be tested again, which resulted in 22 of them re-testing negative. These people are therefore declared cured.

However, the CPS, or the equivalent of the ARS, confirmed that 16 other people had tested positive. This brings to 176 the total number of people who have contracted the virus since mid-March in the Dutch part.

Three people are hospitalized.

903 PCR tests have been carried out so far and 312 at Juliana Airport.
