Overseas Maritime Council: presentation of our maritime potential 


Territorial advisor René-Jean Duret recently visited Martinique as part of the first plenary session of the overseas maritime council of the Antilles basin. During the installation of this council, he presented the maritime challenges of our territory and the main development projects including tourism and maritime development of Marigot Bay and the creation of the Caribbean Biodiversity Institute. It was the prefect of the Guadeloupe region, Jacques Billant, who closed this first session. The next session should be organized in Saint-Martin in September or October 2016.
