Collège Mont des Accords: A cake sale organized today to help finance an educational trip to Italy

At the initiative of Ms. Luce, professor of classical letters and Ms. Bergina, professor of mathematics at the Mont des Accords college, an educational trip to Rome is planned for April 2020. A cake sale is organized today in front of the college from 16:30 p.m. to finance this great project.

There are many motivations: it is a question of offering Latinists the possibility of experiencing Antiquity in a concrete way, of establishing a link between Antiquity and modernity and of enabling the whole class to discover the Roman numeration . In addition to the disciplinary motivations, we also wish that the pupils open up to another culture by immersing themselves in the Italian environment ", explain the two teachers, before adding," our educational objectives are the following: to acquire elements of artistic historical culture and move from Roman numerals to decimal writing. We plan to do this on visits to essential sites of ancient civilization (forum, Colosseum, museum ...), the visit of the museum of computing tools in Pisa. We also plan to see some iconic Italian monuments. To assess their skills, students will have sheets to complete, oral, visual or other presentations. ”

The organizers are counting on your generosity this afternoon for the sale of cakes which will help to finance this beautiful educational project. Meet at 16:30 p.m. in front of the Mont des Accords college.

Come many, It's for a good cause !  _AF
