Caribbean Rum Awards 2019: An event that consecrates a rum from Saint Martin

The Caribbean Rum Awards 2019 took place for the first time in Saint-Barthélemy from November 6 to 9. An event which celebrated, for four days, the best rums in the Caribbean region. Saint-Martin is doing well and wins a gold medal in the white agricultural rum category.

The most exceptional rums of the Caribbean challenged each other during a blind tasting session, in which seven international judges specialized in rum participated. El Dorado 25, Ron Del Barrilito Five-Star, Havana Club Maximo, Don Q Réserve de la Familia Serralles, or Brugal Papa Andres, so many prestigious rums that are measured in the premises of the Rhum Room, the most important bar in Caribbean rum which offers more than 700 references.

Rum was the focal point of this event, which was able to highlight this beverage during an exhibition in Gustavia, a dinner at Pearl Beach, a seminar on Ti'Punch, but also during a dinner. VIP at the Quarter Kitchen & Cocktail Lab, concocted by chef Andrew Zarzosa of Yuzu Miami. This Caribbean Rum Awards 2019 event was an opportunity to discover exceptional rums, as well as the diversity of rums from all over the Caribbean. Rums to be consumed in moderation, of course ...

The Rhum Saint-Barth Blanc 50 °, raised and assembled in Saint-Martin exclusively by Rhum Island, obtained the gold medal in the White Agricultural Rum category, and received the congratulations of the President of the Collectivity of Saint-Barthélemy, Bruno Magras._RM
