Robbery in Front Street and Dutch Quarter Saturday 29

KPSM Special Robbery Unit, St Maarten Police are currently investigating two armed robberies which took place on October 29, 2022

On Saturday October 29 around 15 p.m., a call was received at the police emergency department regarding a robbery in progress at a jewelry store on Frontstreet. Several police patrols were immediately sent to the scene.

Three men had robbed the jewelry store at gunpoint. After robbing the store, the three perpetrators fled on two scooters via Front Street towards Sucker-garden.

 

At around 19:30 p.m. another call was received about a robbery at a Dutch Quarter supermarket. Several patrol units were dispatched to the scene.

One of the suspects, tall, with a thin, dark complexion, dressed completely in black, entered the supermarket and robbed the cashier, taking the checkout of the day.

The suspects fled with an undisclosed sum of cash through the back of the supermarket.
