Today, 7% of companies located in Saint-Martin are in the construction industry against 4,5% in 2016. Between two years, 34 new companies were created in this sector to reach a total of 368 entities in 2018.
Note however that in 2016, the total number of companies was 2 higher than in 175.
Despite the post Irma effect and the increase in activity, the number of construction companies remains lower than in the 2000s, before the crisis that started in 2009-2010.
