In recent days, access to Baie Rouge beach has been pedestrian only. The gate, which until then had only been closed at night, is, according to several witnesses, also during the day. According to other witnesses, the parking lot is being cleaned and will soon be reopened to the public.
Motorists who wish to go to the beach must therefore park along the road and take the pedestrian crossing on the side.
As a reminder, this plot going from the road to the beach and where the parking lot was located is in the private domain. The operation of the beach is the responsibility of the Terres Basses association, which is however obliged to allow pedestrian access.
