The new edition of the “International Coastal Cleanup” event will take place on Sunday morning at Nettle Bay, orchestrated by SXM Trails and the Pride Foundation.
From 7:30 am to 10 am, participants will crisscross the beach, from the Dreams restaurant to the Belle Créole, with trash bags as part of this international day of coastal cleansing. Manuel Juste, president of SXM Trails, explains to us that the objective of this event is to sensitize especially the young people: “They must realize that the waste at Marigot and Sandy Ground comes with the current on this beach. Made up of four people, each team will have to list the trash using a sheet, then sent to the Ocean Conservancy Institute in Washington. Meet at the Dreams car park at 7:30 am (gloves and bags provided).
