Bac: lower results in general sectors and increasing in professional sectors

The results of the general, technological and vocational baccalaureate at the end of the first group of tests fell yesterday in Saint-Martin. They are down compared to last year in the general and technological fields: 124 of the 197 candidates from public establishments were received, that is to say only 63% against 72,1% in 2016. The candidates of the technological sector were more successful than those of general streams with 62% success against (62,7% in 2016). The 19 candidates for the general and technological baccalaureate of the private high school Victor Schoelcher were all admitted in the first round. At the vocational college in the Northern Islands, 129 of the 153 candidates for the various vocational baccalaureate exams were admitted in the first round, i.e. 84,3% (compared to 65% in 2016).
