It is in the car park of the former Sandy Ground MJC that the Collectivity of Saint-Martin inaugurated its very first Associative Life Support Point (PAVA). Three other structures will soon be developed in Grand-Case, Quartier d'Orléans and Concordia.

If the associations are numerous on the territory of Saint-Martin with the creation of 47 in 2022, the president of the Associative Life commission, Martine Beldor, was keen to provide particular support to the various actors. With the creation of a Support Point for Associative Life, the organizations concerned will be able to benefit from January 2, 2023 from the expertise of three agents of the Collectivity, in collaboration with the Kogito association, for administrative and technical procedures. related to the creation, management and development of an association in the room of the District Council embellished with the artistic touch of Madtowz. In the presence of Louis Mussington, president of the Collectivity, Dominique Démocrite Louisy, 3rd vice-president in charge of the human development delegation, Fabien Sésé, general secretary of the prefecture, senator Annick Pétrus as well as Serge Letchimy, president of the Executive Council of Martinique, and Didier Laguerre, Mayor of Fort-de-France, both on an official visit and invited for the occasion, Paul Dollin, Deputy Director General of the Human Development Delegation, presented figures which prove the dynamism of associative life in Saint-Martin: 300 active associations in the territory, 79 in 2020, 127 in 2012 and 140 subsidized associations in 2022. The creation of a one-stop shop such as the PAVA will meet the needs expressed collectively by the associations. The schedules will be variable with the establishment of night and reception on Saturday morning by appointment. The political will is to offer local support and enhanced monitoring to associations and project leaders. If the first PAVA is established at Sandy Ground, other points of support will soon be installed in the districts of Concordia, Grand-Case and Quartier d'Orléans, with the same desire to help the associative life of Saint-Martin to realize their projects, create jobs and carry out even more actions. _VX
