The association Une Lumière pour les îles, based in mainland France, collected school supplies for the benefit of the children of Saint-Martin. This action aims to enable the success of each student.
The distribution begins this Wednesday, September 7, in Quartier d'Orléans, childhood place of Lydia Lawrence, founder of the association. For the third time, the action is renewed with 200 kg collected for this purpose in Savoie. “Among ten children who go to school, one will be a doctor, a lawyer, an artist, among others. And a notebook, a pen or even a book, are the first window towards the individual future of our youth”.
From 9 a.m. to 14 p.m., a distribution of school supplies will take place in Quartier d'Orléans. Doors are open to all families, regardless of neighborhood of residence. The distribution will be for children from 6 to 12 years old. Storybooks will also be offered to kindergartens directly. Meet on the Saline road. _pc
