Association: A great success for the 1st edition of the cultural and sporting rally organized by ACS ZEPIN

0

A first edition full of success which combined historical knowledge of the island and sporting challenges! After the vehicles were marked in the Galisbay car park, a briefing and a dynamic warm-up for the participants, it was at 8:30 am sharp, on Monday May 24, that the 10 teams set out to attack the discovery of enigmas on the historical heritage of Saint-Martin.

The ACS ZEPIN (Cultural and Sports Association of the Northern Islands Priority Education Zone) has again given itself the means to organize a larger-scale event with this first edition. If the questionnaire was in the drawers, it had to be readjusted to condense everything into twenty questions and add an innovative part related to digital.

To make the historical discovery of the island more attractive, activities based on games of yesteryear were combined. Thus, after having discovered the peculiarities of Fort Louis, or old farms, the candidates by teams were led to play "y ka y pa ka", at the wheel of the racing car or even to carry out tests on the water. . In some places, to justify their passage, they had to send their position in real time via an application.

All the activities took place in a friendly atmosphere, with respect for the barrier gestures in force, to continue on the Galion beach, with a local lunch served by Titine's Place and a refreshing coconut cut on site by Johnny Under the Coconut Tree, and the award ceremony to the winners (continuation and end in our next edition).

Team classification in the rally:
