Last Friday, a solidarity workcamp was created in Quartier d'Orléans as part of the “Les Colles de La Route” project to raise children's awareness of road safety. Let's go back to this event.
If it was the Compagnons Bâtisseurs who organized this initiative aimed at children aged 3 to 16, it was in favor of the Association des Centers Français de Quartier (ACFQ), which is the instigator. The target audience, children in school or not and adults, including those learning French as a foreign language, was curious but shy in participating in this road safety awareness campaign. The Association of French Neighborhood Centers conducts citizen participation projects by developing a common culture and encouraging the sharing of skills with the aim of common success. The Compagnons Bâtisseurs therefore did not hesitate to join forces with the latter to develop this new action which took place on a former basketball court located in Quartier d'Orléans, within the salt flats and palm groves of Semsamar, which had agreed to give this land a second life. A major player in the region since 2018, the Compagnons Bâtisseurs are on all fronts in terms of the chain of solidarity, whether through their workshops or this solidarity project. Do-it-yourself, home renovation, home improvement, decoration, the Compagnons association is constantly reinventing itself, always at the service of others, in exchange, sharing and communion. It was in the early morning that the creation of the road safety site began, the old basketball court was transformed in a few hours, with elbow grease, good humor and teamwork , in a road cycle path which will soon welcome the inhabitants of the district and their two-wheelers. If the bulk of the work was done during this day, there are still things to do to complete the site, the call for volunteers is launched. As Sandy Ground, Quartier d'Orléans is one of the priority areas of the City Policy, solidarity is all the more important in each of them. Les Bricos du Cœur covered all the costs related to the equipment necessary for the realization of this project "Les Colles de La Route" which will allow the ACFQ to continue its work of animation with young people and the population of the neighborhood. from Orleans. _VX
