ASSOCIATION: Twenty candles for the ACED association!

0

Created in 2002 by a certain Louis Mussington, the ACED association has been working for twenty years with an isolated public. "Our job is to take care of the human being as a whole", explain the president Audrey Claxton and the director Fabienne Marcenat. More than 400 people have benefited from ACED's support. “Some have become territorial police officers, driving instructors or even employees at the prefecture”.

Beneficiaries are generally referred to ACED by partners such as Pôle Emploi or judicial institutions. The follow-up lasts between 4 months and 2 years depending on the needs and motivation of the person. “Our goal is to make them employable by teaching them professional skills through social and professional support. We also help them solve problems of access to their rights such as the vital card or possibly the residence permit. They are often very isolated people. ACED relies on green space maintenance sites. “We have contracts with the Collectivity or even social landlords”. Other projects complement ACED's activity. Like the JADA: Young people serving the elderly and people with reduced mobility. “The idea is to create a link between generations while helping the elderly and isolated to improve their living environment”. In the longer term, ACED dreams of a convergence between the different actors of the territory to always better meet the needs of the inhabitants, and in particular those who face difficulties. _pc
