Reinforced by the success of the operation, the enthusiasm of young people and the desire to curb the road mortality curve, the professionals involved in the system have set themselves the task of perpetuating their actions through the SXM Road Safety Association. , chaired by the captain of the gendarmerie Thierry Verres. For 10 days, the association raised awareness between “250 and 300 young people” about the dangers of the road. To make learning the rules of conduct more fun, the association had set up its outdoor quarters near the college sports field. There, a two-wheeler simulator and a road track awaited the students. Objective: to be aware of the traffic signs, to respect them and to try out driving a two-wheeler via a simulator and equipped with glasses designed to reproduce the effects of alcohol or narcotics consumption. An action that the association intends to renew in the coming months.
