The crowd was invited last Thursday to the Les Acacias gallery in Anse Marcel for the first edition of Crazy Thursdays and its special Christmas craft market.

With more than 25 artisans installed in the gallery and offering local products and unique creations, the special Thursday Christmas market in Anse Marcel continues today, from 18 p.m. to 22 p.m. The organizers, Corinne Deloche, and Frédéric Wild, creator of the gallery, can be delighted with this first market and the exhibitors are delighted with this first experience. With a nativity scene and a Christmas cart pulled by lifelike reindeer arranged on the lawn of the gallery decorated with decorations and magical lights, the children were all the more amazed during the visit of Santa Claus who did not not fail to pose with them to the delight of the parents. A play area was also dedicated to them with duck fishing and a funfair claw machine to catch the coveted soft toy. The atmosphere was jovial and the musical entertainment complemented the magic of Christmas. Saint-Martin craftsmanship was proudly represented with jewelry, ready-to-wear, painted glass, spices, local soaps, cosmetics, and other typical products that contribute to the unique identity of Saint-Martin. The 19 boutiques of the Les Acacias gallery were also open at night, adding a chic touch to the event with the 100% organic clothing brand stamped “Caribbean”. Invited to participate in the inauguration cocktail, Angeline Laurence, territorial councilor, and Valérie Damaseau, president of the Saint-Martin Tourist Office, welcomed the initiative to boost the local economy. This first edition marking the official launch of Crazy Thursdays at Anse Marcel was a real success, which is likely to happen again this evening with a special Disney touch, starting at 18 p.m. _VX
