The challenge is great: an Iron Man sculpture almost 4 meters high will soon be enthroned in the gardens of the Tribute Hotel in Baie Nettlé.
The gestation period will be 9 months for this gigantic project initiated by Zincart and supported by Baki Arbia, lover of art and artists. With his experience as a zinc roofer, Zincart is a creator in the purest sense of the word. He prefers to remain anonymous by letting his works speak for him. He certainly made his first sculpture, a dragon, only five years ago, but he hasn't stopped since, always raising the bar a little higher. The life-size mermaid signed by her hand and created in Saint Barth two years ago has found a second life around the other artistic creations that coexist at the Tribute Hotel. It is also thanks to her that the paths of Baki and Zincart crossed, it was enough for Baki to propose to the creator to continue in his line. The idea of Iron Man came naturally, from his affection for superheroes and his preference for this Marvel character that many love. Baki's childish eyes lit up when Zincart showed him the first drawings. A month and a half of hard work to realize the penciled and digital drawings of this giant sculpture which will consist of 640 pieces to assemble, real titanic work. The structure will be mainly in wood with sculpted steels. Zincart will then cover it with copper and brass.
To remain faithful to the original colors of the armor and the nobility of the materials, copper will be used for red, brass for golden yellow and tinned copper for silver. The head of the famous superhero will be mobile, like a mechanism equipped with motion sensors that will move to watch people passing by. The position of the character chosen by Zincart is symbolic, whether one is a fan of Marvel or not, it is powerful… and fits perfectly with the aura of Zincart and his great talent.
