Example of FRAUDULEUX email received recently by a reader:

From: Service.confirmation@laposte.fr

Subject: Last Reminder - Receive confirmation code!

Dear Customer, You have a package at the post office 

You have 48 hours to collect your package, Otherwise it will be returned to the sender.

Please confirm sending the package to your home by following the steps below:

1. Call the number of our customer service: 08 90 43 26 83

2. Receive the confirmation code.

3. Send the confirmation code to the following address:

info.validation.colis@chronopost.fr

Generally when you receive a strange email like this, before answering or calling the number indicated, type the subject of the email received in the bar of a search engine like Google. You will quickly see if this scam is already listed. In addition, crooks are often illiterate or foreign, these emails are riddled with spelling, speech or punctuation errors as in this one.

Never indicate on the internet your bank details or your credit card codes without having checked on a search engine if these sites are reliable.
