The European Archeology Days will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June. Two highlights are on the program: guided tours of the “Jermin” excavation site and the engraved rock of Moho, as well as a conference on archeology at the CCISM.
The Collectivity of Saint-Martin is willingly part of this organization, under the leadership of Christophe Henocq, archaeologist in charge of scientific missions within the Collectivity.
A program of visits was set up on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June, and a conference on archeology organized on 17 June in the evening.
Saturday June 17, 2023:
• 8:00 a.m.: Guided tour of the engraved rock of Moho and the Jermin archaeological dig site (meeting in front of the cemetery of the Methodist Church of Quartier d'Orléans)
• 10:00 a.m.: Guided tour of the engraved rock of Moho and the Jermin archaeological dig site (meeting in front of the cemetery of the Methodist Church of Quartier d'Orléans)
• 18:00 p.m. at the CCISM: Conference “My experience of archeology in the Caribbean and Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten”, presented by Nathalie Serrand, Jay B. Haviser Jr., Martijn M. Van De Bel and Christophe Henocq.
Admission to this conference is free.
Sunday June 18, 2023:
• 8:30 a.m.: Guided tour of the engraved rock of Moho and the Jermin archaeological dig site.
