Two days after the dramatic fire that ravaged Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral for several hours, the question of reconstruction is on everyone's minds. The pledges already reach hundreds of millions of euros.

To support reconstruction, the Heritage Foundation https://don.fondation-patitage.org/SauvonsNotreDame/, has already launched a call for donations. The national pool has been accessible since yesterday noon on the organization's website.

It is also possible to donate directly to the Notre-Dame Foundation. A pot had already been launched by the latter to help finance the work, suspected of being at the origin of the fire.

Nearly 600 million euros promised

Patronage is also already at work. François-Henri Pinault announced that Artémis, the family's investment company, was going to release 100 million euros to participate in the reconstruction and restoration. “This tragedy strikes all French people and far beyond all those who are attached to spiritual values. Faced with such a tragedy, everyone wishes to revive this jewel of our heritage as quickly as possible, ”he wrote in a press release.

The Arnault family and the LVMH group have also announced a significant donation of 200 million euros.

The Bettancourt family and L'Oréal have pledged 200 million euros.

On Twitter, the CEO of Total announced a "special donation" of 100 million euros.

Donations in kind

Groupama has announced that it will offer 1.300 oak trees which it will harvest from its Norman forests, "to respect the work of the Companions of the time", for the "reconstruction of the framework" of the cathedral. Saint-Gobain will make "its expertise in the fields of renovation and materials, particularly in terms of stained glass restoration" available, some of which have exploded. For its part, the company Air France has announced that it will provide "free transport for all official actors who will participate in the reconstruction".
