As part of the Olympic and Paralympic week, 64 students with disabilities participated this Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in nautical activities in Galisbay. "The objective is to give them access to activities that they are not used to practicing, such as sailing or kayaking," explains Jean-Luc Elice, president of the USEP Iles du Nord. They are educated in Ulis classes in six elementary schools (Aline Hanson, Clair Saint-Maximin, Elie Gibbs, Nina Duverly, Emile Choisy and Hervé Williams) and were supervised by USEP animators, their teachers, EPS teachers from the Mont des Accords college, as well as the founders of Team Alpha currently in civic service. And were to receive help from the 2nd Sport class from Robert Weinum High School. This event is part of the “Tutoring, Olympism and Handicap” project for which the constituency of the Northern Islands won the 2nd academic prize. (Source: Soualigapost.com)
