As of Monday, September 27, the gendarmes recorded 14 complaints from owners of cats and dogs who have been poisoned in recent days.
“17 animals were poisoned, 15 dogs of which 4 survived, 2 cats ”, specifies Lieutenant-Colonel Wintzer.
Four gendarmes are working exclusively on this file to exploit all the technical information in their possession. The poisoning zone remains unchanged for the moment; the sectors concerned being Grand-Case, Anse Marcel and Cul de Sac.
"We invite people who have been victims or witnesses of fact to establish ties with the gendarmerie brigade of Esperance at Hope Estate", indicates the lieutenant-colonel.
