During the first quarter of 2018, Anguilla welcomed 15 tourists, 920 times less than in 3,5 over the same period. It was the quarter with the lowest number of visitors since 2017, authorities said. "Even in 1993 after Luis, the number of tourists received was higher with a total of 1996 during the first quarter," they stress.

Since the passage of Irma, the number of tourists has increased every month with the gradual reopening of hotels. They were 2,15 times more numerous in the first quarter of 2018 than in the last of 2017.

Between January and March, 58% of tourists spent several nights on the island, i.e. 9 compared to 245 in 24 (- 445%). The average length of stay in March is 2017 nights. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
