The Minister of Ecology Ségolène Royal is involved in the ocean during the COP21.

Among her announcements, the minister signed a partnership with the President of French Polynesia Edouard Fritch last Wednesday in order to deploy marine educational areas on French territory. This concept was born in the primary school of Tahuata, in the Marquesas Islands. The marine area is managed by students around a series of actions to protect the marine environment. In collaboration with its partners, French Polynesia has also decided “to structure the approach around an Aire marine educative (Ame) label rewarding schools wishing to engage in this process of managing the marine environment”, reports the Agence des marine protected areas.
