Nadine Turquin, the wife of former veterinarian Jean-Louis Turquin, shot dead last January at his home in Mont-Vernon, was indicted and imprisoned Friday for assassination, announced the public prosecutor of Pointe -à-Pitre, Xavier Bonhomme.

Nadine Turquin, 66, was first placed in police custody last Wednesday in Saint-Martin, after the discovery of "traces of powder on her hands," according to a source familiar with the matter.

Mr. Bonhomme explained that expert results had indeed revealed the presence, "on his two hands" of "19 typical particles which show that she was nearby or the author of the shooting with a firearm".

"It has no explanation" and stuck to its first version, said the prosecutor, adding that a "blood substance belonging to Madame Turquin" was also found on "a broken glass" d 'a carafe and that' at no time 'during her previous hearings,' she had not indicated that she had been able to touch a broken glass'.

"Madame Turquin does not tell us everything, the elements are important, corroborated," said Mr. Bonhomme, who said "do not close any door" and study the possibility of "the thesis of several authors"._AF
