Air: A 30% drop in traffic between Martinique, Guadeloupe and to St-Martin and Saint-Barth

The strengthening of health measures linked to the Covid-19 pandemic will be accompanied by a reduction of around 30% in air traffic between Martinique and Guadeloupe, and to Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

The resurgence of the health crisis in the West Indies has consequences in airports: since September 4, 2020, “a temperature control of passengers will be  systematically carried out before boarding in both directions by airlines for flights between Martinique and Guadeloupe ”(in this case Air Antilles, Air Caraïbes and Air France).

In addition, “the risk of propagation will also be contained thanks to the reduction of around 30% in inter-island traffic from September, the development of which will be monitored by the Antilles civil aviation safety department. -Guyana ”. No implementation date has been specified.

For passengers coming from mainland France, those over eleven years old arriving in Guadeloupe must prove a negative PCR test carried out within 72 hours before boarding (it is already required for flights from Guyana, with quarantine of seven days at the key, or from abroad). This negative result "is a pledge of public health and safety": it is compulsory and requested upon registration. Passengers must also present a sworn statement "that they do not show symptoms and that they are unaware of having been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the fourteen days preceding the flight ". _AF
