Air: Air Belgium suspends its flights to Guadeloupe and Martinique

Air Belgium, which serves Guadeloupe and Martinique, is suspending all its scheduled flights between January 30 and March 1, 2021, following the ban on Belgians to travel abroad.

“The recent decisions of the Belgian government, announced late on January 22, confirmed the travel ban, except for essential reasons.

These new measures unfortunately force us to temporarily suspend our flights to and from the West Indies, ”announces the airline on its website. Indeed, the Belgian authorities have decided to ban non-essential travel abroad for the entire month of February 2021.

Note that the flight Charleroi - Pointe-à-Pitre - Fort-de-France - Charleroi of January 26, 2021 remains scheduled. Those of January 29 and 30 will be combined into a single flight on January 29. Only passengers traveling for an essential reason will be allowed to board.

"The situation will be reassessed depending on the next government decisions, but for now we are maintaining our flight program beyond March 1," says Air Belgium.

Passengers who booked a flight during the suspension period in February can postpone their trip under the same conditions or request a refund. Those who had booked a return flight to Belgium in February will be contacted to be rerouted to another airline.
