Local news: Renewal of the partnership between DELTA PETROLEUM and the SNSM of Saint Martin!

DELTA PETROLEUM has renewed its partnership agreement with the SNSM station in Saint-Martin with the provision of diesel fuel for rescue operations at sea for this speedboat.

The partnership was hitherto limited to the sole delivery of petrol for the rescue operations of the semi-rigid SNS 978-1 (Rescue Star) acquired by SNSM in April 2015.

Christian Papaliolos, Managing Director of DELTA PETROLEUM made a point of being present, during the first refueling of the speedboat, at the DELTA PETROLEUM station in Sandy-Ground, on Saturday, April 27th. He praised “the volunteerism, dedication and selflessness of the members of the local station of the SNSM who, despite their professional or family constraints, devote part of their time to ensure a mission of public utility, rescue at sea , going to save lives and boats, in sometimes difficult weather conditions ”. And he added that "DELTA PETROLEUM was very proud to help them by thus contributing to the operating costs of the SNSM of Saint Martin".

René-Jean Duret, President of the station, thanked him for the increase in this partnership, recalling that “the first rescuers are the donors. The SNSM station in Saint-Martin only works with private donations, 95%. And, without donors, there could be no rescue at sea on an island where nautical tourism constitutes one of the main resources of its economy ”.
