A 32-year-old Saint-Martinois was summoned to the Saint-Martin criminal court on Wednesday morning under the immediate appearance procedure for possession and transport of a category B weapon without authorization, as well as for the use and possession of cannabis. During an inspection last Monday, the gendarmes discovered in his bag a 45 caliber pistol with thirteen ammunition in the magazine as well as small bags of cannabis. The accused was in legal recidivism.
According to the prosecution's requisitions, he was sentenced to fifteen months' imprisonment and a ban on holding a weapon with authorization for a period of fifteen years. The weapon found on him was confiscated. A deposit warrant was also issued.
