13 young people from Saint-Martin aged 8 to 12 (6 girls and 7 boys) left Saint-Martin last Monday to return to the Saintes. They take part in the first “learning camp”. As part of the “Summer quarters” plan, for the benefit of children in priority neighborhoods, “Colos apprentenantes” stays offer children and young people the opportunity to combine this summer with the reinforcement of learning and the practice of learning activities. leisure activities around culture, sport, sustainable development, to better prepare for the next school year. For this first edition, organized by the prefecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin and the DJSCS of Guadeloupe, with the support of the COBRACED association, the prefect Sylvie Feucher came to attend their departure at Grand Case airport. Hope. This learning camp will take place in a sports village of the UCPA (national union of outdoor sports centers), in Les Saintes, from August 10 to 14. The children will also be accompanied throughout this learning camp by an employee and a volunteer with BAFA from the COBRACED association. The learning camp in which these young people from Saint-Martin will participate, along with other young people from Guadeloupe, will be predominantly sports. Educational, physical and sports activities will be supervised by UCPA graduate instructors, in accordance with health guidelines.
