100 influenza cases recorded in Saint Martin in one month

In Guadeloupe, the epidemic is progressing strongly with a total of 3 cases identified. The majority influenza virus identified in town and in hospitals is type A. Ten serious cases have been identified, four of which have died. In Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, the flu epidemic is more moderate, indicates the latest health bulletin from Public Health.

In Saint-Martin, 52 cases were registered by city doctors during the first two weeks of February, bringing the total number of influenza cases recorded since the start of the epidemic to 100 in the past month. In Saint-Barthélemy, the number of influenza-like illnesses registered in town medicine is stable and remains above the seasonal threshold with 36 cases recorded over the same period in February. 73 cases have been identified since the start of the epidemic in Saint-Barthélemy.
